Abstract

The Quran has explained globally so that humans can live with existing provisions and rules, whose validity period will not expire until the end of time. Likewise with the provisions in marriage, Islam has also regulated it globally in the Quran. The concept of marriage in contemporary times demands a concept of equality between husband and wife, so that this equality can be one of the considerations for someone when choosing their prospective partner, whether his partner meets his criteria, whether he is balanced, equal to himself. A concept like this in Islamic law is called kafa'ah or commonly called kufu'. Kafa'ah in the Quran is explained in Surah an-Nur verse 26. The method in this research uses a qualitative descriptive data analysis type, using a library research type of research which collects data from literature books or journal articles.
